| another good way to generate some interest for the forum is to create some fliers or some cards of some sort with the forums information, website and what not, and keep them in our cars, when ever you see a car in a parking lot or something that you think the owner would be interested in joining, take a flier and throw it on the windshield, (obviously not in the winter so much) but yah, that will get alot of people interested im sure, being a car guy, if I had one on my windshield I would want to at least sign up and see what its about.
not only that, ALOT of people are sick of 780tuners - for their cliques and boring car meets, driftwest - for their assholes and flamewars , n-e-c-c - because lets face it.. they get like 5 posts a week
there needs to be a club / car forum where people are respected for the fact that we are all people, and we all share the same interests, for the most part that being cars. There is NO mutual respect on any of the other boards UNLESS you are apart of that clique.
If you can uphold that kind of reputation without slamming the other forums (I have no affiliation with this forum, so I can say what ever I want about those other forums / sites) then there will be alot of room to grow for this forum!

| soon enough we will double or triple in size.. but whats going to happen when we get our permanent site? will everyone follow?
Fliers are a great idea.. however, like me for example.. if people shove ANYTHING on my car in a parking lot 9times out of 10 I just throw it away.. what about internet ads?? they are only like 50.00 a month to run.

| ok well this is a public forum sooo.. any attention is good as long as it doesnt cause problems hope we get at least 20 more members before the summer.. let somecar guys know about the site and gain some public interest for us so car shows and meets will be in larger numer + contests and show n shines will be better. hope we can get members with some uners and quick cars, id like some competition this year at some of the racing events | |

| Internet ads are a waste of money and likely won't work.
Hate to say it but 780 is pretty well established.
There was an older club running called trak-shun but since the creator moved away everything went downhill. But he made window decals with "trak-shun.com" on them and business cards with the website name and a line or two about the club to hand out and what not. He took advantage of Fast and the Furious theater nights to find the decent cars in town and stick a card on the window.
There's a difference between a flyer saying something like "buy cheese now, good deal at malmarts!" and for example "South Edmonton Tuner Society, Automotive Lifestyle at it's best."
See what I am saying?
PS if you want this club to go big I suggest maybe changing the name and taking out "South" because the south end is just 1 place in the entire city and area.
